About this race
This 10th edition offers a family-friendly triathlon for beginners. Ages 5-12 have a Mini Escape triathlon. Ages 13 and up can choose triathlon or duathlon. The course begins with a snake swim in a 4-lane, 50-meter pool, followed by a bike route on city and rural roads. The run leads to the historic Missouri State Penitentiary and back, finishing with a Great Escape medal at The Great Escape Triathlon.
