The RUGGED INDY 2026

The Rugged Indy is a trail festival at Independence Park in East Vincent Township, Pennsylvania, centered on a two-mile natural loop known as the Indy Trail. Participants can select from 4-mile and 8-mile trail races, or timed 3-hour and 6-hour events. A 2-mile option for walkers benefits Independence Park. Each lap of the loop includes approximately 125 feet of elevation gain, making even the shorter races challenging. The course features meadow descents, narrow singletrack paths winding through honeysuckle, rocky sections, climbs with exposed roots, and shaded woodland areas. The festival includes live music, food vendors, local community organizations, and volunteers at the finish line. Families can participate in a guided 2-mile hike led by the Township arborist. The Rugged Indy holds local significance as the first event hosted at Independence Park and East Vincent Township’s inaugural recreational event.
