West Hill Turkey Trot 2026

The West Hill Turkey Trot sends runners up Terrace Road twice before Thanksgiving dinner. It is a neighborhood 5K run with a 1.5-mile walk option, starting from Terrace Road by the Activity Field at 10:00 a.m.; bib pickup and registration open an hour earlier. West Hill residents can enter free with a coupon code from the West Wind, while non-residents pay a small entry fee plus processing fees. The event proceeds rain or shine, strollers are allowed, and dogs are not. The 5K is a two-lap West Hill original with 165 feet of climbing on each lap, for 330 feet total. Its signature feature is the climb up Terrace Road, followed by a gradual descent on the back side of the loop. The walk starts just after the run and covers one shorter lap of 1.5 miles. This is the first running of the West Hill Turkey Trot, so the main tradition so far is simple: get outside with neighbors before the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.
