The Zoo Run Relay is an evening race held at San Antonio Zoo in San Antonio, Texas, with adult events commencing at 6:00 pm. The primary format involves a four-person relay, where each participant runs a 2-mile loop, and teams must consist of four distinct individuals. An individual 4-mile option is also available, requiring one runner to complete two loops. The race is presented by H-E-B and contributes to wildlife conservation efforts at the zoo.
Participants enter via the zoo’s Front Entrance, and the gates are secured once the races begin. Registration provides access to Runner’s Village, two drink tickets, a custom Zoo Run shirt, a drawstring bag, and one standard adult admission zoo ticket. Team categories include men’s, women’s, co-ed, masters, youth, family, corporate, military, and first responder groups, accommodating friends, workplaces, families, and local competitive runners. A separate Kids Run offers a distinct event for younger participants the following morning.
