Newcastle Cross Country 18: Belmont Wetlands 2026

Newcastle Cross Country 18: Belmont Wetlands is a Saturday afternoon club race held in Belmont, New South Wales. It begins at 2:00 PM from the end of the Fernleigh Track, near Railway Parade. This event is one round of the Newcastle Cross Country Club series, which spans the Hunter Region. Participants can choose from 2.5K, 6K, and 11K distances, allowing juniors, newer runners, club regulars, and experienced cross-country racers to compete at the same venue over a distance suited to them. The Belmont Wetlands course features varied terrain, including roads, sand, and undulating sections within suburban and bushland settings. Participation is restricted to club members; however, membership is available for individuals aged 6 and above. Runners must register online by midnight on the Friday preceding the race. New members should collect a shoe tag before 1:00 PM. All participants are advised to bring water, insect repellent, and funds for parking.
