6. 24 h Lauf Freudenstadt

The 24 h Lauf Freudenstadt is a timed ultra run held in Freudenstadt-Grüntal. It begins at the Treffpunkt on Haldenstraße 10. Participants can select either a 12-hour or 24-hour duration. The official start is at 8:00 AM, though runners may commence later. The 12-hour race concludes at 8:00 PM, and the 24-hour race finishes at 8:00 AM the following day, having run through the night. Only completed full laps contribute to the final results; any partial lap at the cutoff time does not count towards a runner's total distance. The course consists of a repeating loop approximately 3.6 kilometers in length, featuring around 70 meters of elevation gain per circuit. This loop structure distinguishes it from flat track ultras, as runners pass the start/finish area multiple times, providing access to food and drinks while still navigating consistent climbs over numerous laps. Directional markers indicate the route. Breakfast is available before the start, hot meals commence at noon, and drinks are provided. Registration is straightforward, and late entries are permitted at the start. Arrangements for overnight stays, including meals, can be made, and all participants who finish will receive a certificate.
