Once Upon a Run 2026

Once Upon a Run is a storybook-costume 5K and family festival held at 4 Campus Boulevard, with running and walking events beginning in the afternoon. The main event is a 5K, followed by a 1-mile walk and a free kids run. The day is designed for runners, walkers, families, and children, not exclusively serious racers. The event is organized by the Friends of Newtown Public Library to raise funds for the library. Costumes are encouraged. The festival continues post-race with entertainment, food and drink bracelets, a costume parade for all ages, prizes, and a raffle for PGA Championship tickets.
