The Iron Lung Ride starts and finishes in Huntsville, Utah, in Ogden Valley. Riders can select a 34 or 35 mile route, an 80 mile route, or the full 100 mile out-and-back. This July road cycling event focuses on climbing; it is not a flat century ride.
The full route includes a climb up Old Snowbasin Road, a descent down Trappers Loop, passage through Morgan County, and a turnaround at the summit of Big Mountain. Challenging sections are interspersed with rollers and flatter segments for recovery. The ride also qualifies as a Utah Triple Crank event, alongside LOTOJA and Huntsman Sportfest.
