À propos de cette course
The Panorama-Baumwipfel-Lauf begins and ends at the sports field in Oberschwarzach, a village in Lower Franconia, Bavaria. This is a one-day running event featuring nature routes instead of city streets. The primary distances offered are approximately 6 km and 12 km, along with a half marathon of about 21.1 km. The race typically takes place in early summer, with an afternoon start time noted in one race calendar.
The half marathon is distinctive as it guides runners across the Baumwipfelpfad-Steigerwald, a treetop walkway, as part of a challenging route that includes over 300 meters of elevation change. The course incorporates field paths, forest trails, vineyard tracks, and roads winding through the Oberschwarzach wine hills, Handthal, the Steigerwald forest, and returning over Herrenberg. Four distinct uphill classifications add to the challenge of the climbs. SSV DJK Oberschwarzach e.V. is the organizing body, and the event also features children's races, making the day suitable for families as well as runners seeking the demanding half marathon.
