Sawtry 10 Mile Road Race 2026

The Sawtry 10 begins and ends at Sawtry Village Academy in Cambridgeshire, with participants starting at 10:00 a.m. for a 10-mile road race. The event is open to runners aged 17 and over, and the 2.5-hour time limit makes it suitable for steady runners and faster club racers alike. Slower participants may arrange an early start, and the race employs chip timing on an officially measured, UK Athletics-licensed course. The course is a loop on quiet, gently undulating country roads, passing Hamerton Zoo and the woods at Aversley and Archers before returning to the academy. Sawtry Walk to Run organizes the event, with Sawtry Village Academy and Sawtry Academy Leisure serving as the race headquarters. Runners are provided with marshals, lead and tail bikes, paramedic support, bag drop, changing facilities, adequate toilets, free local parking, and refreshments at the start and finish. All finishers receive medals, top runners compete for trophies and cash prizes, teams are also recognized, and local charity CARESCO offers bacon sandwiches.
