The TOKYO Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai Marathon takes place in September, headquartered at the rooftop garden plaza of Toyosu Market, with the race based in Toyosu Gururi Park. It is a lap-format event offering distances from 1.5 km to a full marathon, accommodating serious marathoners, relay teams, pairs, and families on the same race day. The full marathon consists of 14 laps on a 3,014 m course, with a six-hour time limit. The half marathon is seven laps within a three-hour limit. Shorter races include 10 km, 5 km, 3 km, and 1.5 km, with pair and family entries integrated into the main program.
The course utilizes Toyosu Gururi Park, a public waterfront park, requiring participants to share the space respectfully and remove their own refuse. Starts are conducted in a shotgun format, with runners departing in two sequential lines. Pairs and families begin and conclude the race as a unit. Ekiden relay teams compete in the full or half marathon, with each member required to run at least one lap. Timing is managed via non-contact IC chips. A single aid station is provided, and medical personnel with AED support are present. Awards extend to the top six overall finishers with certificates, age-group and pair podiums receive medals, and all participants receive participation awards, with completion medals for all family-category finishers.
