À propos de cette course
The PSS Imperial Palace Healthy Running 30K is a 30 km run in Chiyoda, central Tokyo, that uses the Imperial Palace loop for its entire course. This October event, organized by PSS Inc., serves as both a race and a practice session. The 30K division attracts approximately 100 to 499 participants and has an entry fee of 1,000 yen. It is open to runners of all levels, though it is better suited for those seeking a measured long run rather than a large festival atmosphere.
Participants complete six laps of the palace loop, a design that simplifies pacing because of the repetition of landmarks and terrain. Feedback indicates it is valuable marathon preparation, an economical long-distance workout, and a straightforward method for assessing current fitness. The atmosphere is intentionally relaxed, permitting same-day entries and allowing runners to switch distances mid-race. The organizer humorously states the only rule is not to quit and take the train from Takebashi. Some structure is maintained with lap cutoffs after four, five, and six laps. The event will be canceled in case of rain or snow, with entries transferred to a future date instead of being refunded.
