The Yodogawa Morning Marathon is a summer running event held at Yodogawa Nishinakajima Riverside Park in Osaka Prefecture. It begins in the Nishinakajima area, directing runners upstream along the Yodogawa river in the morning. The race is designed to allow participants to accumulate mileage even during the hottest part of the season.
The course consists of a 2.5 km loop, meaning runners will traverse a straightforward riverside circuit multiple times instead of a point-to-point route. Aid stations are positioned approximately every kilometer, a crucial detail for a warm-weather event. After finishing, participants receive ice-cold kakigori shaved ice to help them cool down. This marks the eighth running of the event, and results are published using bib numbers, not personal names.
