À propos de cette course
Bieg po Plaży is a seaside running weekend in Jarosławiec on Poland’s Baltic coast, traditionally held on the first weekend of July. The main event is a 15 km race, and the name is very literal: runners get seaside streets, forest tracks, and sandy beach underfoot, with fresh sea air. It is long enough to feel like a real test, but the format still suits runners who want a summer race rather than a grim endurance project.
The weekend is wider than the main 15 km. Local government officials have their own 2.2 km Bursztyn Jarosławca race, firefighters from PSP and OSP have championship races, and children and juniors get youth events such as Powitanie Lata and the youngest runners’ W pogoni za… race. The Podziel się życiem run is tied to the TAK dla transplantacji campaign, so the programme mixes sport with a public message about transplantation. Many people treat the race as part of a short holiday by the sea, which fits the early-July slot and the beach sections of the course.
