The Prairie Moon 5K Pumpkin Fun Run begins and ends at Prairie Moon Waldorf School in Lawrence, Kansas. It features a timed 5K for adults and other runners, alongside a short, untimed obstacle-course run for children. This event serves as a public community fundraiser for the school. Adult 5K registration includes a shirt, and a children’s shirt is available for the fun run. The 5K route departs the school onto gravel roads and trails, incorporating the Mud Creek levee trail, before returning to campus. The course is timed but not certified. Strollers are permitted, but sturdy tires are recommended for the gravel sections. Following the run, the school grounds transform into a fall gathering with activities such as pumpkin painting, chess, tacos, coffee, and baked goods. Prizes from local stores are awarded to top finishers, and a Garmin watch raffle includes all 5K registrants.

Le Topeka Turkey Trot, c'est une course le matin de Thanksgiving qui se passe à Topeka, Kansas, et c'est organisé par Fleet Feet. Au programme, il y a un 10K, un 5K, et le Kids Turkey Trot 1K pour les plus jeunes. Les courses plus longues partent plus tôt, et la course des enfants est prévue un peu plus tard dans la matinée. Le point de départ est sur SE Croco Road, mais les cartes des parcours exactes et les détails pour l'avenir sont encore en cours de finalisation. C'est la deuxième édition de cet événement, et le but, c'est d'encourager l'activité physique avant le gros repas de la fête. Il y a des coureurs, des marcheurs, des familles, des habitués des courses, des gens qui se lancent pour la première fois, et des enfants, donc c'est plus un rassemblement communautaire qu'une simple course de compétition. La course met l'accent sur la gratitude, le fait d'être ensemble, et surtout, ça donne faim pour la tarte d'après-course !

The Lawrence Shamrock Shuffle begins and ends at Johnny's Tavern in Lawrence, Kansas, offering 5K, 10K, Family 5K, and virtual race choices. This event aligns with the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade, taking place annually during the St. Patrick's season. Participants are encouraged to wear green or other Irish-themed attire. The 10K provides a less common distance for local runners, and the shorter races accommodate families and casual participants. The courses follow the river levee, extend into North Lawrence, and traverse the historic North Lawrence and Pinkney neighborhoods. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 1.5 to 2 miles. Awards are presented to overall winners, Masters and Super Masters, and the top three in each age category. Registration covers a race shirt and a participation award. Post-race refreshments feature an Irish breakfast from Johnny's North and the parade committee. Proceeds benefit Douglas County children's charities selected by the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee.

Club CAN Dash-Neurodiversity in Motion begins at 9:00 a.m. at Shawnee Mission Park, 7710 Renner Rd. in Shawnee, Kansas. The event features a 5K and a 1 Mile Run/Walk/Roll/Kids Run. The 5K is open to participants who wish to run, walk, or roll, not solely compete for time. This is a family-friendly spring event that benefits Club CAN, which stands for Community Appreciating Neurodiversity Inc. The shorter distance is open to ages 5 and up. Club CAN’s wider mission focuses on providing social opportunities for neurodivergent individuals from middle school through adulthood. Packet pick-up is available on race day before the start, and also on Thursday evening. Registration includes a t-shirt, with supplies guaranteed through early April. This is the first annual Club CAN Dash and includes an After Bash. The morning is designed around movement, fundraising, and spending time together after the race.

Le TopCity Half Marathon, ça se passe le long du Shunga trail et à travers les quartiers de TopCity au Kansas. Comme d'hab, les participants ont droit à un T-shirt de course, une médaille de finisher et des petits cadeaux des sponsors. Après la course, tu auras de quoi boire grâce à Chaos Coffee et Iron Rail Brewing (attention, c'est pour les plus de 21 ans). Pour le half marathon, le rythme qu'il faut tenir, c'est 16 minutes par mile, ou plus rapide. L'événement, il est organisé pour mettre en avant la santé, le bien-être et la culture.
