This 13th annual race supports District of Columbia high school students and honors the 40th anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® founder Norma E. Boyd’s passing. Norma, a native Washingtonian, dedicated her life to educational and humanitarian pursuits for children. The Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education helps the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, Inc. provide college scholarships, continuing a tradition that has raised over $118,000 since 2013.
