44th Annual Bridge-Buster 5K Run 2027

The Bridge-Buster 5K takes runners and walkers over the South Bridge in Fort Pierce, Florida. The River Walk Center serves as the start and finish line for this annual early-morning 5K run and 5K walk. The event begins at 7:30 AM, with registration available on the day of the race starting one hour prior. The course follows a straightforward path: participants run or walk over the bridge, turn around, and return to the starting point by the river. The Fort Pierce Sunrise Kiwanis Club sponsors the race, which holds significance as the oldest footrace in St. Lucie County. A reduced entry fee is offered to students, and participants receive individual water bottles and snacks at the finish area.
