Big Butts 2026

Big Butts is a July trail race in Jackson, Mississippi, held at the Mississippi College Choctaw Trails pavilion. Participants can run solo in 25K, 50K, or 100K distances, or form a 2-to-4-person relay team. This setup accommodates both ultramarathon runners and groups sharing the distance. The course uses 7.75-mile loops on two trail systems: the cross-country trails and the Butts Park single-track trails. The pavilion area allows crews to set up tents, coolers, and chairs, with race aid provided at the start/finish and one station on the course offering water, Tailwind, and food. The 25K has a 7-hour cutoff, while the 50K, 100K, and relay have 14 hours. Relay teams can determine their own lap rotations. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each individual race, along with a custom award for the winning relay team.
