À propos de cette course
The Boo Dash 5K is a Halloween run in the Clear Lake City area, suitable for families. The route begins near sunset and circles through the neighborhood by Exploration Green. Children can participate in a 1K race, while adults and teens compete in the 5K. The atmosphere is lighthearted rather than frightening, with participants encouraged to wear family-appropriate costumes, enter a costume contest, and receive treats and a medal upon finishing.
The race is one component of the CLCCA Monster - 3 Event Bash, which commences with the Boo Dash Family Fun Run followed by an evening festival at the Clear Lake City Rec Center. Well-behaved pets are permitted in the run. The broader evening event features trunk or treating, a haunted house, crafts, games, food trucks, vendors, inflatables, train rides, pumpkins, popcorn, and a petting zoo. After dark, the Glow the Green event illuminates the Exploration Green path with over 300 luminary lights and includes interactive treat stations for children. Proceeds benefit the INEOS ICAN Foundation, and Running Alliance Sport manages the race.
