Highball to Thurmond is an ultra marathon through the Appalachian Mountains. This point-to-point adventure in New River Gorge National Park offers scenery and adventure. A challenging mix of paved roads, mountain dirt roads, and rugged trails, featuring steep climbs, technical trails, and overlooks. Race the Amtrak train to the finish line in historic Thurmond, then ride it back. For runners, ruckers, or relay teams seeking West Virginia scenery.
