Naughty Hog 2026

Naughty Hog is a December trail and ultra race held at Ray Roberts Lake State Park’s Johnson Branch Unit in Valley View, Texas. The race offers a variety of distances: 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K, and a 25K ruck. This range attracts both short-distance trail runners and those seeking a long day of running. The primary course is a 15-mile/25K loop within the Johnson Branch trails, featuring over 900 feet of elevation gain per loop. Participants will encounter dirt singletrack, rooty sections, grass, ATV roads, and some paved trail. The 5K is entirely on pavement, and shorter trail distances follow out-and-back configurations. All races begin and end at the Johnson Branch Nature Center. Historically, race-day temperatures typically fall between 34 and 56 degrees Fahrenheit.
