NYCRUNS Haunted Island 10K 2026

The NYCRUNS Haunted Island 10K is a Halloween 10K on Governors Island in New York City. The ferry ride for runners and guests is included in the entry fee. This is NYCRUNS’ most popular Halloween running event in the city and sells out annually. Many participants wear costumes, while others compete without them. The event features Halloween decorations, a costume contest, an official shirt, post-race food, and Halloween candy. The course consists of two loops around Governors Island, following a USATF-certified route with open views across New York Harbor. The Festival Area, a short walk from the ferry terminal, provides bib pickup, shirt pickup, bag check, bathrooms, and serves as the pre- and post-race gathering spot. The start and finish lines are located just steps from this area, with runners assembling in pace-based corrals designated AA through F.
