À propos de cette course
At Penns Woods Winery, the 15th Annual event begins with a unique pre-race routine: unroll a mat, perform a brief yoga session, then transition from yoga poses to start-line anticipation. The venue offers considerable character, featuring “award-winning wine and beautifully landscaped property,” alongside the advertised “scenic views, delicious wine, live music” that make staying after the run feel like a planned part of the recovery rather than aimless lingering.
The course starts and finishes at the winery, traverses the vineyard on “short-cut, well manicured grass,” and includes a section of 1st State Historical National Park. It accommodates all skill levels, though the grassy terrain requires some care underfoot, particularly if the weather is uncooperative. The distinctive feature is the yoga-and-run combination, followed by awards, music, food, and Penns Woods “serving wine all morning and afternoon,” providing a well-defined post-race agenda for participants.
