Sleighbells on the Square 5K 2026

Sleighbells on the Square is a December race morning held at Marietta Square in Marietta, Georgia. The 5K, 1K, and Tot Trot all start and finish downtown. The 5K is chip-timed, USATF certified, and an AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier, suitable for runners aiming for a qualifying mark and families seeking a holiday run or walk. This is the event's 24th edition, and long-sleeve shirts are provided for all race distances. The 5K route goes through Marietta Square and the adjacent historic neighborhood, with the square decorated for the holidays. Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire, such as reindeer ears and sweaters with bells; strollers and dogs are permitted. The race benefits the Cobb County Bar Association's Children's Emergency Fund, which provides emergency grants to Cobb County households for needs like utilities, clothing, medicine, and housing costs. The 5K awards custom medals to overall, masters, and age-group finishers from 10 and under through 75 and older. The event also features a school participation contest and a virtual 5K option.
