Summit Mountain Challenge 2027

The Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series held on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Racing occurs on Wednesday evenings from May through August. Participants can select from long, short, or kids courses. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. Breckenridge Recreation now manages the series, having taken over from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions. The fundamental goal remains the same: to provide community bike racing that is fun, affordable, and well organized. Competitors aiming for the overall title must participate in five of the six events within the same course category. The races are conducted under a USDA Forest Service special use permit within the White River National Forest.
