Summit Mountain Challenge 2026

Summit Mountain Challenge is a summer mountain bike race/ride series on the trails of Summit County, Colorado, with six Wednesday evening events from May through August. Riders can choose long, short, or kids courses, making the series suitable for serious racers, developing juniors, and people who want a regular midweek trail race without it becoming an all-day project. The riding features fast trail sections and big mountain climbs, and the season concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. To qualify for the overall series results, racers must complete five of the six events on the same course length. Breckenridge Recreation now directs the series after taking it over from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions, continuing his community-first approach to affordable, well-organized local racing.
