The Summer Switch Up, a USATF certified mile race at Sim's Park, uses weight classes instead of estimated speed. Athletes are pulled along by others of similar caliber in their own weight division. This tests speed and benchmarks fitness for beginners, high school athletes, and competitive friends. The Wichita Mile is one to check out.
