Huxtable Park provides a cross-country atmosphere: grass underfoot, club-race energy, and minimal ceremony. The Queensland Running Cross Country Series 11 takes place during Autumn and Winter, moving through Brisbane venues with a practical race schedule rather than a single large event.
Expect a mixed field, from younger runners gaining experience to competitive club athletes using it as preparation. There is also an "untimed fun and fitness walk" on the shortest course, with the simple instruction to "walk, hop, skip, or jump your way around" if racing is not the focus that day.
