Hidden Vale Adventure Park provides the venue: a large trail network in the Lockyer Valley. The course winds through native bushland, crosses creeks, and offers varied terrain that demands attention. Trail Run Epic offers a true off-road event, distinct from a road race relocated to dirt. Runners will share the weekend with mountain bikers, venturing into "genuine Australian bush."
Expect named trail sections with distinct character: Gully, Dodgem, Western Creek, Dam Big, Dancing with Dingoes, Almost There, Ripple Effect, Fairy Wren, Plain Sailing, and Noodle are all part of the longer route. The running includes "technical trail sections," creek crossings, and "rewarding descents." The shorter option follows a beginner-friendly path under the big bridge, while another course stays near Gully. Colour-coded markers and bunting indicate the route. Mornings can be cool, with possible fog before the valley warms.
