Edegem Loopt is a September running event held in Edegem, near Antwerp, Belgium. It offers races for children and adults on the same day. The distances range from short Kids Runs of 400 and 800 meters to 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, and a 10-mile (16.1 km) race, catering to young runners, casual participants, and those seeking a longer road run.
The course utilizes Edegem’s traffic-free center and adjacent areas, featuring a combination of paved and unpaved sections. The 10 km route covers the center and nearby streets, while the 10-mile race is the longest option. Race day includes a local fair atmosphere with street stalls, food and drink from local vendors, club demonstrations, and a funfair. While podium prizes are available for faster runners, the event is primarily recreational and community-focused. Atletiek Belgica Edegem Sport (ABES) organizes it with local partners.
