The WFPS Run is an October race weekend in Winnipeg, Manitoba, held at 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. The main Sunday program offers runners three distances: a half marathon, 10K, and 5K, with staggered morning starts. A separate 1K Teeny Trot takes place on the Saturday before the main races, making the weekend suitable for adult runners and families with young children.
The Teeny Trot is for children aged 10 and under; they can run alone or with a parent or guardian. Its course follows the pathway for 500 metres out and 500 metres back. Registered children receive medals, commemorative bibs, and snacks. The start-finish area features an inflatable arch, giving this short run a race atmosphere. The event attracts a large local field, with over 1,800 registered participants, and it raises funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
