Trail La Clinique Du Coureur, held in early June at Parc du Brûlé in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, marks the start of the Quebec trail running season. It offers a broad range of distances, including children's races of 300 m and 600 m, alongside 1 km, 1.5 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, 30 km, 50 km, and a 50 km relay. This structure accommodates novice trail runners, families, club members, and skilled athletes within a single event.
The race utilizes the Lac-Beauport area's trail system, with over 60 km of paths maintained by volunteers, and the event plans significant investment in trail maintenance. The 50 km event attracts elite runners, with prize money awarded to the top five men and women. Local groups and clubs assist at aid stations, receiving donations for their efforts. The event also focuses on youth participation, supporting a school trail race for over 1,000 young people and a First Nations inter-school trail component for more than 200 participants.
