The saarBRÜCKENlauf is a June road-running event based on a straightforward local concept: runners cross all the Saar bridges. The name combines Saarbrücken with “Brücken,” the German word for bridges, embedding the route idea in the title. This is the eighth edition, and registration is available via the race website.
The course prioritizes linking the river crossings into a single run over adhering to a standard distance. The event site presents practical runner information concisely, including news, starter lists, photos, partners, and contact details. Its main appeal is the bridge theme: rather than a typical city circuit, the race invites runners to engage with the location through the Saar River and the bridges connecting its sides.
