Biegerparklauf is a small road-running event in Duisburg-Huckingen, held at the Bezirkssportanlage Biegerhof and organized by Sportgemeinschaft Duisburg-Süd 98/20 e.V. The event includes races for toddlers and school children, a 5km race for all, and a 10km main race. Younger participants start around midday, with adult races scheduled for the afternoon.
The course is a measured asphalt circuit within Biegerpark. 5km runners complete two laps, 10km runners complete three, and schoolchildren run a shorter loop. Each kilometer is marked, and the courses are DLV-measured for German record eligibility. The final 300 meters are on the stadium’s ash track. The event caters to local clubs, families, schoolchildren, casual 5km runners, and age-group competitors. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in school, toddler, and main-race age categories. Children and toddlers also receive a traditional local gingerbread treat, the Weckmann, upon finishing.
