Halloween Run Duisburg

Halloween Run Duisburg is a Halloween night run in Landschaftspark Nord, the old industrial park in Duisburg, Germany. It is held every Halloween and has been running since 2016, with children’s races in the early evening before the 5 km and 10 km starts. The event is a fun run, but it still uses official transponder timing, so runners get proper results rather than just a costume parade with a finish line. The route choices include short children’s distances of about 500 m and 1.2-1.5 km, plus longer options such as 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km depending on the program. The main hook is the setting after dark: runners move through Landschaftspark Nord under Halloween lighting, with themed staging and a changing motto such as “Fire & Light.” Costumes are part of the event rather than an extra joke on the side, and the field can include zombies, fairy-tale characters, families, club runners, and people there mostly for the atmosphere. Finishers receive a medal, digital certificates are available, and the finish area includes food, music, and a post-run Halloween program.
