Mammutmarsch Mannheim begins and ends at the Ehrenhof of Mannheim Palace, located in the city center. This is a long-distance hiking event, not a race, offering 30 km, 42 km, and 60 km routes. The longer distances typically commence in morning groups between approximately 6:00 and 9:00, while the 30 km walkers depart later in distinct groups.
The path departs from the Baroque palace grounds and proceeds towards the Rhine River, utilizing riverside trails, open fields, and wooded areas in the Baden-Württemberg region surrounding Mannheim.
