Pujada a la Seu Vella is a mid-December running event in Lleida, centered on the climb toward La Seu Vella, the old hilltop cathedral-fortress above the city. The event's core identity is straightforward: runners tackle city streets on a route connected to Lleida’s most prominent landmark. A 10 km trail run and a 10 km non-competitive walk are also offered, ensuring participation is not limited to those seeking a specific time.
Now in its forty-first edition, the event retains a strong local character, documented through classifications, photo albums, video albums, and newspaper clippings from previous races. Children's races are held alongside adult events, and the race community collaborates with La Marató de TV3, the Catalan charity telethon. Club Esportiu Seu Vella participates in this broader local network, including activities related to La Marató-funded research. The race also honors figures from Lleida’s walking and outdoor community, such as Lluís Garrofé.
