La Nocturne de Nîmes is a 5 km night road race held annually in Nîmes, southern France, typically in late September. The race begins on the parvis des Arènes de Nîmes, with participants assembling beside the city’s Roman amphitheatre before proceeding into the city center. A separate 5 km race for children is also part of the event. Recent editions have seen large fields for a local charity run, exceeding 3,000 participants.
The course winds through Nîmes after dark, incorporating gardens, squares, and monuments into the route rather than directing participants to quiet suburban streets. The Lions Club Nîmes Alphonse Daudet organizes this family-friendly charity event, which benefits visually impaired individuals and children with disabilities. Both walkers and runners are welcome, reflecting the race's emphasis on solidarity, community involvement, and a shared evening in the city over strict racing competition.
