MB Race is a mountain bike race series held in Megève, France, within the Pays du Mont-Blanc. Established in 2010 on the trails surrounding Megève and Combloux, its primary appeal lies in challenging off-road events across the Mont-Blanc and Val d'Arly regions. The main event is the MB Ultra Somfy, offering 70 km, 100 km, and 140 km distances; the longest route includes 7,000 meters of climbing within a single day.
The various races traverse 12 communes, such as Megève, Combloux, La Giettaz, Flumet, Praz-sur-Arly, and Saint-Gervais. The MB Ultra Somfy features climbs from 3,000 meters on the 70 km course to 5,000 meters on the 100 km course and 7,000 meters on the 140 km course, aligning with its French tagline, “the hardest mountain bike race in the world.” In its inaugural year, only one of 600 participants completed the race. The weekend also features shorter MB Explore routes, e-bike options, enduro racing, and children's events, catering to a wide range of participants from ultra-distance mountain bikers to families and those seeking a shorter experience on the Mont-Blanc trails.
