Sambonitaine is a mountain bike event held in Saint-Bonnet-le-Chateau, offering hilly off-road routes for riders seeking rides from short to long. The current options range from 18 km with 450 m of elevation gain to 76 km with 1,850 m of gain, including 37 km, 48 km, and 60 km choices. The organizers update the circuits annually, ensuring returning participants encounter new routes. The event has taken place since 1995, having hosted over 26,658 mountain bikers throughout its history. Its courses have totaled more than 4,875 km of marked trails with over 111,100 m of cumulative climbing. Aid stations are situated in numerous nearby villages and hamlets.
