ABP Southampton Marathon Festival

The ABP Southampton Marathon Festival is Southampton’s largest running event, featuring marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K races. Held in May, it is structured as a festival with options ranging from the full 42K to a 5K. A Fun Run and Team Challenges are also available for groups. The event offers runners practical support before race day, including training plans, pacers, entry checks, accommodation details, and published results and photos afterward. Charity running is integral, with routes supporting causes like Macmillan and Southampton Hospitals Charity. Volunteers, Mile Makers, and event cyclists provide behind-the-scenes support, while race merchandise, the Penta Medal Series, and winner flight vouchers from Loganair add local festival elements beyond the standard race format.
