Cardiff 10K Road Race - CDF 10K 2026

The Cardiff 10K Road Race is a 10-kilometre road race through central Cardiff, held on the first Sunday of September. It is associated with Kidney Wales, with Team Kidney Wales runners fundraising for services like patient support and emergency financial aid for those affected by kidney disease. The event is suitable for first-time 10K runners and experienced participants alike, and its timing offers useful preparation for runners aiming for the Cardiff Half Marathon in October. The route begins in the Welsh capital's center and passes significant landmarks such as Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, and City Hall. Runners will cross the River Taff, proceed towards Pontcanna, go through Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields, pass Sophia Gardens, and conclude in the Edwardian Civic Centre. Thousands of runners have participated in the race on Cardiff’s streets, and the event now has a four-decade history, having been re-established as a major city 10K.
