The Nagai Park Fureai Marathon is a small, lap-based running event held in Osaka’s Nagai Park, with race reception at Yanmar Stadium South Plaza. The main morning program features 30 km, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km races, all commencing after a brief opening ceremony. This event is designed for ordinary runners, not a massive field: the 30 km, half marathon, and 10 km races each have an entry cap of 200 participants, while the 5 km race is limited to 150. The venue is accessible by train, with Nagai Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line approximately one minute away on foot, and Nagai or Tsurugaoka stations on the JR Hanwa Line about five minutes away.
The course consists of repeated loops within the park, meaning runners pass the same support points multiple times rather than following a point-to-point route. The 30 km race comprises ten laps of a 1,870 m circuit, the half marathon uses seven laps with an additional adjustment distance, the 10 km requires three laps, and the 5 km is a single-loop race with its own adjustment section. Three water stations are provided, IC-tag timing is included with the bib, and web results along with completion certificates are issued on the same day. The afternoon schedule is geared towards families and children, offering a 2 km parent-child race for 50 pairs, with awards for the top three overall finishers. Participants receive a T-shirt, and the top three men and women in the morning races are presented with awards and commemorative items.
