The Toyama Relay Marathon takes place at Ushidake Onsen Ski Resort, featuring a team relay run on a dedicated loop within the resort's parking lot in Toyama City. Teams complete 20 laps, each approximately 1.2 km, transferring a tasuki sash between runners. The event begins in the morning and utilizes chip timing, concluding after two hours. The participant field is limited, ranging from 50 to 99 individuals, with categories designed for local participation. These include running clubs, workplace teams, elementary school teams, and families. Club and workplace teams must include at least one female runner, while elementary teams are mixed-gender. Family teams may consist of members from multiple households. The Yamada Regional Revitalization Council is the organizing body, and all participants are given a participation prize.
