The Ultramaratón vďačnosti is a charity run in eastern Slovakia, held in late May. It goes from Košice towards the Tokaj wine region. The main event is a 64 km ultramarathon. Runners can participate solo or in relay teams of 2 to 7 people, covering the same distance. MEA GRATI organizes the event with Oáza – nádej pre nový život and the running club Cocktail Pace. Its goal is to express gratitude to those who assist impoverished children and to promote further aid for them.
The long course begins in Košice and concludes at the MEA GRATI vineyards and winery in Viničky. It features approximately 1,300 meters of elevation gain and has a 12-hour time limit. The course consists of about 60% paved road and 40% forest, hiking, field, and gravel paths. This mix offers more variety than a road ultra while remaining suitable for running over long sections. Shorter races are also available: a 10 km Oáza run, 5 km Cocktail runs, and children's races at MEA GRATI.
