The #AZ48 Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is a flat, fast road race series in Downtown Chandler, Arizona. All three distances start and finish at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park East Stage Plaza. The course is USATF-certified, providing an officially measured route within the downtown area. The route follows the streets around Downtown Chandler, passing local sights and race-day activity before returning to the same plaza for the finish. Every finisher receives a medal. The top three men and women overall get awards, and age-group awards are given three deep for men and women. Packet pickup is at the Downtown Chandler Hilton Garden Inn, which is also the host hotel offering race-weekend rates.

San Tan Scramble offers runners five trail options within San Tan Mountain Regional Park in Queen Creek, Arizona: 50K, 26K, 17K, 9K, and 5K. This January trail and endurance race is organized by Aravaipa Running, featuring distances from a short park run to an ultramarathon. The race focuses on desert-park trails instead of city streets. Parking can be limited, so shorter-distance runners might use a free Aravaipa shuttle from Mountain View Church in San Tan Valley, which also allows them to bypass the Maricopa County Parks entry fee.

The Mountaineer 5K is a 5-kilometer race in Chandler, Arizona, starting at 8:00 AM from the Summit Academy Junior High Track. It is organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization and benefits the Summit Academy Mountaineers. Runners, walkers, and people with strollers can enter, while pets, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted on the course. The route begins with one loop around the junior high track, proceeds onto the canal for most of the distance, and returns to finish at the school track. The race is chip timed, with water stations on course, finisher medals, post-race food and drinks, and age-group awards across children’s, teen, adult, and older runner categories. Packet pickup is offered the day before, same-day registration is available, and parking is located at the Desert Oasis lot.

Every participant takes home custom finishers' medals and an event shirt. This is a chip-timed event, and afterward, celebrate your achievement with awards near the Ramada next to Copper Sky Lake.
