The race offers chip timing, online results, a shirt, overall awards for the top male and female finishers, and age-group awards for participants aged 12 and under up to 70 and over. A free Kids Dash for children 10 and under precedes the 5K, and packet pickup occurs on race day.

The Howl-O-Ween Hustle 5K, a dog-friendly Halloween run, takes place at Las Colonias in Grand Junction. It features a 5K race and a 1 Mile Fun Run. Both events begin and end at WestCo Brewing. Check-in occurs before the early-afternoon races, followed by an after-party at the brewery. Participants are welcome to bring their dogs and enter a costume contest. The race includes chip timing. High schools in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren counties are eligible to apply for aid, with club officials reviewing applications and distributing funds generated by the race.
