2026 Child Advocates 5k and 1k Superhero Run

The Child Advocates Superhero Run is an annual 5K and 1K event held at CITYCENTRE Houston, located at 800 Town and Country Blvd. The 5K, which is chip-timed, begins in the morning, with the shorter 1K for children and families following. Participants, including runners, walkers, and spectators, are part of the day's activities. The superhero theme is literal, as attendees are encouraged to wear capes, masks, and costumes. Following the 1K, the event features award ceremonies for both the race and a costume contest. The run benefits Child Advocates, Harris County's CASA program. This organization recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in the Houston area. These advocates work with children's cases and provide judicial recommendations regarding permanent placements, linking a family-friendly morning with a significant local cause.
