2026 LTA Foundation 1.975 Walk/Run

The LTA Foundation 1.975 Walk/Run is a 1.975-mile fundraiser in Detroit. The in-person group meets on the Detroit Riverwalk at the Lambda Theta Alpha convention site. Hosted by the Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation, it is designed for walkers and runners, not those seeking official times. Participants can join in person, enter a virtual version, or organize a local micro-event, running, walking, using a treadmill, or biking from their chosen location. The in-person morning begins with check-in, waiver confirmation, opening remarks, and a brief warm-up before the group departs. Volunteers are stationed along the route, with some accompanying participants to offer support throughout. Registration is open to adults, with tiered entries offering an electronic bib, medal, shirt, or gift, subject to availability. Funds raised support education and natural disaster relief via the foundation.
