Carlisle YMCA Turkey Trot

The Carlisle YMCA Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning 5K run/walk in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, beginning at 9 a.m. from the Carlisle Family YMCA. The in-person race starts and finishes at the YMCA, with a virtual option available for participation from other locations. It welcomes all ages and attracts a large local audience, with over 3,200 participants in previous years. The event, hosted by Penn State Health and the Carlisle Family YMCA, is in its 24th year. The course is a standard 5K, featuring mile markers and course-map points for participants. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top two male and female participants in age groups ranging from 12-and-under to 70-and-over. The Golden Forks are back for the Tuckey Team Challenge, adding a Thanksgiving-themed team tradition to the event beyond standard race times.
